You can use widgets on your Home Screen to keep the remaining time until your event at your fingertips.

Widgets are available starting with app version 2.3.2.

Widgets support is provided for Android8 and later and iOS15 and later.



Android

Adding widgets

  1. On a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap Widgets.
  3. Search for widgets from "The Big Day.
  4. Touch and hold a widget. You’ll get images of your Home screens.
  5. Slide the widget to where you want it. Lift your finger.
  6. Select your preferred event.


Alternatively yo can touch and hold The Big Day. Then tap Widgets.



Resizing widgets

  1. Touch and hold the widget on your Home screen.
  2. Lift your finger. If the widget can be resized, you'll find an outline with dots on the sides.
  3. To resize the widget, drag the dots.
  4. When you're done, tap outside the widget.



Editing widgets

With Android 11 and later, you can configure your widgets. Learn how to check your Android version.


  1. Touch and hold the widget on your Home screen.
  2. Lift your finger. You will see a small pencil buttonin the bottom right corner of the widget.
  3. Press the pencil button. You’ll be taken to a configuration screen.
  4. Select your preferred event which should be displayed in your widget.
  • The values in your widget reflect the settings that you specified when you set up your countdown event.



iOS

Adding widgets

Add widgets to your Home Screen

  1. Open the app.
  2. Click in the sidebar on countdowns.
  3. Tap on the pencil (edit) button in the countdown you want to be shown in the widget.
  4. Activate the toggle Show in widget.
  5. From the Home Screen, touch and hold a widget or an empty area until the apps jiggle.
  6. Tap the Add buttonGraue Taste "Hinzufügen" in the upper-left corner.
  7. Scroll until you find The Big Day.
  8. Select a widget from two widget sizes, then tap Add Widget.
  9. Tap Done.


Add widgets to Today View

  1. Touch and hold a widget or an empty area in Today View until the apps jiggle.

  2. Tap the Add button Graue Taste "Hinzufügen"in the upper-left corner.
  3. Scroll down until you find The Big Day.
  4. Select a widget from two widget sizes.
  5. Tap Add Widget, then tap Done.
